Reshma’s Spinach Yogurt Dip

In response to the article, “Skinny Dipping; A few Healthy Dip Ideas” I wrote about a three dip ideas with high nutritional value. Well, I encourage people to interact as they may find their information published and broadcast to the wider audience. One of my personal training clients who happens to be a vegetarian emailed me her dip creation. If you’re looking for something unique and different than the norm, try this dip on for size.
Spinach yogurt dip
1 small bunch spinach
1 cup plain flavoured hung curd
salt to taste
1/2 tsp pepper powder

1/2 tsp cumin powder

a sprig of coriander to garnish

-chop spinach roughly and immerse in boiling water for about 5-6 min.

-grind the spinach to a paste.

-fold in the spinach paste to hung curd and lightly beat with spoon.

-add salt, pepper and cumin pwd according to taste.

-garnish with chopped coriander/mint leaves.

    Is hung curd just drained yogurt?

    Hi Linda,
    Yes hung curd is drained yogurt,and the method to do it would be to tie the yogurt in a muslin/ cheesecloth and let it drain the water.
